walking yoga / active walking yOgA FUSION

at Scott Park

This class is offered through Millcreek Township Parks and Recreation, hosted at Scott Park, located on West 8th Street, 1/4 mile east of Peninsula Drive.

The beauty of nature adds to the practice of yoga in magical ways.  The fresh air, change of seasons and the challenge of walking outdoors makes this practice more than any other yoga class.   Summer and Fall sessions are made available.  Rain simply means we modify our practice under the picnic pavilion on site. We only cancel for lightening or tornado warning.

Walking Yoga 5pm

The trail walk covers level ground and is mixed with breathing cues and a Vinyasa yoga class focusing on gentle standing postures and flowing movement appropriate for most participants.
Students should be able to complete a one and a half mile walk.
Students should wear clothes that permit free movement paired with comfortable walking shoes.

We follow a circuit of trails that weave through the woods and by scenic overlooks. This practice is an hour long and one mile of walking.

Active Walking Yoga Fusion   6:15pm

The trail walk takes advantage of the varied terrain in the park and is mixed with a Vinyasa yoga class focusing on strength and balance postures as well as flowing movement appropriate for participants seeking a challenge.
Students should be able to complete a one and a half mile walk that includes hills and inclines.
Students should wear clothes that permit free movement paired with comfortable walking shoes and a pair of hiking poles (2, required). these can be found at most retailers or online.

We follow a circuit of trails that weave through the woods and by scenic overlooks. This practice is an hour long and one mile of walking.

Serene Bear Yoga focuses on practical movement that supports daily life. Clients range in ages from 16 - 86, and we accommodate all levels of fitness.  The level of support that we share during our time together helps to keep us motivated during our time apart.
